Governors Club Golf Course is ranked sixth in the Piedmont Top 10 and 20th in North Carolina, among numerous other distinctions, including being classified as five-star golf. The 27-hole Jack Nicklaus-designed course is carved out of the highest topography in the region, Edwards Mountain. It skirts serene lakes and quiet woodlands and winds through the neighborhoods of the prestigious Governors Club. The course gives the golfer magnificent vistas of all the surveys. Other features include chipping greens, a driving range, a clubhouse, golf carts (pull and motorized), putting green, a Pro Shop, an onsite restaurant, and a snack bar/shop. Accommodations are available at The Inn at Governors Club. Nearby dining includes Sal’s NY Pizza, Gov’s Fusion Cantina, Flair Restaurant & Wine Bar, and Tarantini Italian Restaurant. Stock up at Gov’s Pharmacy.
Advanced tee times are required. The onsite conference rooms make this space perfect for groups interested in a working lunch or other function—reserve them for parties, meetings, and other gatherings.
There is one 18-hole course and one 9-hole course. Advanced tee times are required. Guests must follow the dress code. Golf lessons and rental golf clubs are available. No spikes are allowed.
