DESCRIPTION
This 22.6-mile regional Rails-to-Trails project runs throughout the Research Triangle Area, including 4.6 miles of trails located in northeast Chatham County. The American Tobacco Trail is the site of the annual Tobacco Road Marathon and Half-Marathon, a Boston Marathon qualifying race.
